Honeymoon Trip: Bali Day 1&2

Setelah lebih 3 minggu berlalu. Baru berkesempatan nak update pasal our trip ke Bali, Indonesia.

Yes. 6 hari. Kinda excited. Sebab, aku manage from the beginning of the story till the end.

First time handle and manage this thingy. Alhamdullillah semuanya berjalan lancar and we had fun. :)

Away from work, serious say i can reduce my pain towards office thingy.

Let's starts the story.

Day 1: 6 Dec 2012, Thursday

Hari ni adalah hari bekerja. Yes, kami bekerja hari ni sebab nak jimat cuti. huhu.
So aku dapat time-off, after settle office thingy aku bergegas balik lebih kurang pukul 4.00 petang waktu tu. Kebetulan pagi tu aku kena jadi rapportour untuk satu technical paper kat HQ, so aku jadi a bit chaos. Alhamdullillah things done on time before I off. Same goes to husband. Get ready all things and Azeem, my brother-in-law called the taxi. Alkisah dia pegi tahan taxi tu tgh2 jalan. haha. Terkujat jugak pakcik tu ingatkan adik aku nak apa-apakan dia. haha. Tergelak je aku dgr citer pakcik tu all the to epot. Dari rumah ke epot, cost us about RM100. Ini pun lepas aku negotiate dgn pakcik tu. Tapi based on meter tak jejak pon RM80. Takpelah, rezeki pakcik tu. Lagipun dari LCCT-KL dia xde penumpang.

On our way to LCCT, Airport, Sepang, KL

So, we departed from LCCT, KL on 8.40 pm and we safely landed at Ngurah Rai, Bali Island Airport on the same day on 11.40pm. So tak perlu risau nak ejas2 jam. :) Thats the best part. wehehe. Perjalanan dari Malaysia-Bali makan masa selama 3 jam. So dalam flight even 3 jam, amat memboringkan. Tak tau kenapa. Maybe this was my first time having a trip at night. Kebetulan my husband mabuk teruk dalam flight all the way to Bali. Pity him. All the steward stewardess pun bagi kerjasama yang baik. Tak pasal-pasal diorang bg sebungkus tisu kat my husband. huhu. Alhamdullillah me and baby in a good conditions.

As other bloggers said, kalau pegi Bali korang tak perlu risau. Since kitorang dah amik pakej siap-siap so tak perlu risau, semua dah aku atur dari Malaysia. Sebab nak senang kerja since this was our first time went to Bali and having a trip together. I mean, just us both, me and husband. So tak mau ambil any risk.

Sesampai di Ngurah Rai, Airport pak supir, Pak Miko kami dah tgu. Our driver direct sent us to Tune Hotel for check-in. Sampai pun dah tengah malam. Penat tak hengat wei. Yelah, siang hari bekerja , bergegas pulak ke epot. Dalam flight pun tak dapat nak lena.

Our first night was at Tune Hotel at Kuta, Bali. I booked myself thru online: http://www.tunehotels.com/our-hotels/kuta-bali-indonesia
I chose a Double Room with TV which cost us ~RM 105 aproximately.

Bear in mind, when you purchase the room via online the transactions are in Indonesia, Rupiah (IDR). You must have credit card. And there is no additional charges (Ini yang penting!). What ever price appear on the web, thats what you going to pay. At first, aku rasa risau juga. Yelah kan, semuanya first time bagi aku. Many questions mark running thru my head that time.
  • Payment aku ni selamat ke?
  • Hotel yang aku book ni selamat ke?
  • Kang dibuatnya dah bayar tup-tup sampai sana bilik takde cane?
  • Betul ke payment ni pakai IDR?
  • Ada kena extra charges ke since payment pakai credit card?
  • and macam-macam lagi lah.
- I have no experience in making any room booking via agoda.com. Hence, thru my readings i have read thru some experience bad situations so and so. Jadi i choose to booked direct from the original web.Even when I did a cross checking the price are almost the same. If lari pun, within +-RM10 to RM50 macam tu. So better play safe for your "first time" decisions.

Aku percaya semua first timer macam aku surely akan terfikir benda yang sama.

Here I attach some details about Tune Hotel. For any inquiries you can directly call them for guidance.

Tune Hotel Malaysia:

Tel: +60 (3) 7962 5888
Operations hour: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 9:00pm
Tune Hotel, Bali, Indonesia:

Operations hour: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 8:00pm

I did called them (Tune Hotel, Malaysia) many times before I made my booking. haha. Luckily they entertain and consult me well how to do things here and there. Even I did asked them all those silly questions that running thru my head. hehe. :p Until I satisfied!

Oh yes, di Bali ada 2 locations Tune Hotel, which are in Kuta and Legian. Kuta is a hectic area, while Legian, just a lil bit far from Kuta area. I chose Kuta since based on my readings, Kuta area just nearby to the mall and so forth. Kuta-Legian is just 5.3km.

View dalam bilik. Comfy - taken from Tune web

I can rate 8/10. The conditions of the room is comfy enuf for a budget room cost. Bagi muslim macam aku nak solat perlukan space. So what we did is, kitorang tolak katil terus rapat ke dinding. So dapatlah space yang luas sedikit dalam 5feets extra camtu. :) bijak kan? hehe. Kalau tak kang terkepot-kepot kitorang nak bergerak dalam bilik and solat sume. Bilik air what I can say selesa enuf. Air kuat. Just the water flow system dia agak lambat. So bila mandi tu dia akan bertakung kejap. Air paip normal mcm kat Malaysia. Not salty compared the rest hotel I checked-in! :p

So, after do some discussion with Pak Supir, what time we can check-out and the next day activity, then Pak Supir pun balik. Kitorng have a blissful rest that night setelah 3jam dalam flight. Jet leg jugak lah. :p

Day 2: 7 Dec 2012, Friday.

Trip of the day: Kintamani Tour visit consist of:
  1. Visit Celuk Village - Gold&Silver works
  2. Visit Mas Village - Woods carving
  3. Visit Tegalalang Village / Rice Village
  4. Visit Kintamani see volcano and lake
  5. Lunch @Kintamani
  6. Visit Bali Coco&Coffee plantation
  7. Overnight at Ubud: Champlung Sari Hotel

As supposed, we have to check-out from hotel at 8.30am in the morning. Malangnya, pagi tu kat Bali, to be specific kat Kuta ada acara sembahyang orang Hindu, which they will stop at every (repeat, EVERY) junctions to do the acara keagamaan diorang. Kitorang yang bersemangat nak mulakan our day dengan bangun seawal pagi and bersiap sudahnya sampai ke jam 10pagi Pak Supir tak muncul-muncul. Perot dah lapar gila. huhu. Bengang sekejap. :p Sempatlah kitorang jalan kat area hotel konon nak cari makan. Since first day, tak tau arah lagi, jalan dekat 500m tak jumpa-jumpa kedai makan. Patah balik ke hotel dengan hampa... At last ada kawan dia pick-up us and we have to walk about 2km menuju ke kereta Pak Supir. Penat weh. Sampai kat kereta mmg jalan stuck and jammed teruk sangat.

Acara keagamaan Hindu, as mention above - Kuta, Bali

After made some discussion dengan Pak Supir, so kitorg decided untuk having our brunch at Carefour and buy some drinks and junkfoods. We purchased a few bottles of Minute maid pulpy, Mineral water & Potato Chips (which made in Malaysia - langsung tak diragui! :p ). Tak ingat it cost us how much, approximately dalam ~RM20 gitu kot.

This is my tips, bila korang p Bali ni, nak jimat kos korang p la Carefour sebelum memulakan trip. Beli la drinks and junkfood secukupnya. Sebab kalau tetibe terhaus ke, terlapar ke all the way, boleh le makan or minum kan. Kalau nak singgah kedai2 runcit pricey a bit.

Sampai Carefour kitorg isi perut dulu kat KFC. I expected high about their KFC but, i stuck at coconut tree. DO NOT expect KFC sana sama dengan kita. haha. Memang different taste sangat oi. Tapi ayam goreng is the basic kan. So lebih kurang dengan kita. The rest mmg totally different. Even sauce pun! Sauce dia salty and not spicy even stated SOS CILI. Makan KFC di Malaysia lagi heaven. Lapar punya pasal kitorng makan jela. Ni je pun fastfood yang kitorg confident nak makan kat Carefour tu.

Spicy chicken, and original, 2 ketul each - KFC, Carefour Kuta Bali

Settle things kat Carefour, kitorg start the journey to Ubud, Bali. All the way to Ubud, banyak tempat persinggahan kami. Perjalanan dari Kuta - Ubud makan masa 2 jam. Jauh perjalanan cuma 35km, tapi makan masa yang lama since the conditions of the road. Jalan kecik dan banyak kereta.

Selepas perjalanan dalam 1.5hours, sebelum nak sampai kitorang singgah ke Kilang/Kedai jual barangan batik. *Sorry* I forgot the name of the place. Sebab takde dalam list tapi Pak Supir ajak singgah. Nothing interesting. Sebab terlalu mahal. Not worth to buy, since batik yang dijual lebih kurang batik dari Medan, and Bandung. And from my personal opinion batik kat Medan much-much cheaper. huhu. Bak kata Pak Supir sekurang-kurangnya singgah.

Serious say mmg terpegun dgn handcraft diorang. Kebetulan that day is my birthday. hehe. Dan-dan je kan. Aku dah tersuka dengan satu silver ring. Bargain punya bargain dapatlah harga yang reasonable sikit. It just cost me dalam RM40 camtu.

Hadiah birthday di perantauan untuk diri sendiri

Next we direct to Kintamani and having lunch kat sana. Bukan lunch sgt pun sebabnya waktu tu dah kul 2lebih/ Lunch secara buffet. This is our own expenses. It cost us IDR100,000 per head. Total cost burn IDR200,000 tu tak termasuk interest bagai. wuhuhu. Kinda shock ada interest rupanya. The taste is out and not worth at all. Again, ni my personal view. If you need my suggestion better not to have lunch here. The food out. The ambience kat Kintamani mcm kat Genting Highlands / Cameron. Sejuk dan berangin. Best part yang ni je.

Berlatar belakangkan active volcano

I adore this lil girl. Muka mcm doll! Ajak bergambar dia nangis. haha. Her mummy said, her lil girl takut dgn orang. Nasib kau comel. :p

Siap makan dan bergambar we are heading to Coco & coffee plantation. Takde pe yang menarik perhatian kitorg pun. Diorang just bagi tester coffee and hot choc. Kalau dah bg tester tu paham=paham jela kan. Pancing kitorg untuk membeli. Tapi awal2 lagi aku say sorry sebab takde intention nak membeli. Dalam banyak2 tester satu je yang takde which is Kopi Luwak. Luwak is binatang almost serupa dengan musang. Dia makan biji-biji kopi then dia berakkan pulak. Memang tak lalu la aku nak minum kan. Tapi based on their story Kopi Luwak ni banyak khasiat and good for health. Since Luwak ni bukan Luwak yan dibela (Luwak liar), tu yang buat harga kopi luwak ni mencanak harganya. Apa-apa pun aku tak sanggup nak minum walau dia bg free sekalipun. huhu.

Inilah Luwak. Dia sedang tido.

Proses membuat kopi.

Inilah kopi luwak

Aku hanya minum hot choc.

Husband and me. Love.

Stall jual buah. Comel.

Next we visit Tegalalang Village. Nothing much to do. Hanya melihat keindahan alam. Beautiful paddy field yang ditanam kat lereng bukit. What I can say, it's an art of agriculture. Disekitar kawasan Tegalalang Village ada banyak kedai-kedai jual handcraft, pario, woods craft and many more. Aku tak ketinggalan nak beli. Dah nama pun berjalan kan. hehe. What I impressive most about Bali is handcraft.

Melawat Mas Village aku postponed to the next day (Day 3) since we stay a night kat Ubud, so still got time to visit Mas Village on the next day. Nothing to rush anyway.

Since dah petang sangat dengan cuaca pun hujan renyai, so kitorang decide untuk terus check-in Hotel Champlung Sari. Ubud is very nice place. Silent, peaceful, and no hanky panky night. Mat saleh yang nak cari ketenteraman ramai yang suka stay kat area Ubud. At night, Ubud mmg tak hidup macam Kuta. Kat Ubud u can found so many handcrafts. Aku sampai rasa kagum. Nak-nak pulak aku ni mmg suka barangan berunsur kayu-kayan ni. Huhu. Jatuh cinta babe dengan perabot jati depa. Cantik. and very fine quality of woods carving. Will stroy more on next entry. Before nak habiskan entry lets jamu mata dengan keindahan Hotel Champlung Sari, Ubud. One thing, do not to worry kat area hotel ni too many kedai yang korang boleh visit. Kat area Ubud klo korang berminat nak jahit Kebaya dan cari material boleh le cuba. The embroidery of the kain sangat halus dan cantik. Memandangkan aku ni agak ganas orangnya, tak sanggup nak pakai and nak beli. Yela nak anta jahit kat diorg takut tak dan siap, kang beli bahan, tailor aku pulak tak pandai nak jahit macam kebaya derang. So senang cerita tak payah beli. hehe. Walaupun at first aku yang berkobar-kobar nak beli. Selamat duit aku. :p

Till next entry. Bye.
